Case Studies : Thales

Thales has selected Realspace as Preferred Supplier for Project Sapphire located in Crawley. This is a huge investment for Thales as it will involve bringing together some six divisions across the UK into a purpose built campus, containing four new buildings with a work force of 2,500 people being redeployed from November 2007 to October 2009. This will become the UK Headquarters for Thales.

The Realspace team have been working with the Project Sapphire team for the past 12 months and have provided a number of services including:

• CAD design for initial concepts through to animations that have been utilised for Thales internal Road Shows in 2006
• Consultancy, covering selection, guidance, visits and presentation of all potential Furniture suppliers within Europe
• Attendance at Project Sapphire team meetings to provide coaching on effective and efficient working environments and Health and Safety issues.

We are now engaged at all levels of Thales Business Divisions to assist in the implementation plans and execution with the following services:

• Continued CAD support for Design options for Reception, Canteen, Working and General Areas
• Floor Plan layouts with revisions for all four buildings through till 2009
• High level of Project Management for implementation programmes for each of the buildings
• Account Management role and responsibilities
• Sourcing and selection of preferred suppliers for Reception, Canteen, Working and General Areas
• Catalogues / brochure packages for all end-users
• Full Training Programmes for all product applications.
