Our aim is to reduce business costs and improve efficiencies with particular attention to the environmental impact of our business.

Environment Policy
Office Depot UK is committed to minimising the impact
of our operations on the environment by means of a programme
of continuous improvement.
In particular Office Depot UK will:
- Manage our environmental responsibilities including
full compliance with UK and EU regulations
- Assess and manage the environmental impacts of our operations
- Maintain an Environmental Management System equivalent
to ISO 14001 standard
- Exercise product stewardship in conjunction with our
suppliers
- Undertake a regular audit process and monitor continuous
improvement
- Communicate our policy to employees, customers and suppliers
and make available to other interested parties
Our FSC Certification
In 2006, Office Depot obtained Forest Stewardship Council
(FSC) chain of custody certification for stationery and
furniture products. The FSC trademark is a label on timber
and wood products that indicates that the product has an
unbroken chain of custody to an FSC certified well-managed
forest source.
The FSC trademark therefore enables businesses to choose
timber and other wood products such as furniture with the
confidence that they are not contributing to the destruction
of the world’s forests.
In accordance with Office Depot UK 's Environmental principles
we have selected suppliers with an environmentally positive
attitude and this has resulted in 3 of our major desking
ranges being FSC accredited.
